02What changed

Before, and after.

  1. 01

    Before: Quotes written from scratch

Now: Quotes built from the client record

  2. 02

Before: Accepted quotes re-typed as invoices

Now: Invoice raised when the quote is accepted

  3. 03

    Before: Kick-off remembered, or not

    Now: Kick-off tasks created automatically

03How it’s wired

Where it sits in the system.

  1. In the system·Quotes

Quotes built from a template and the client's record.

  2. In the system·Automation

An accepted quote raises the invoice and opens the project.

  3. In the system·Tasks

Kick-off tasks created for the team when the work is won.

04The work

How it came together.

Where it started

Quotes lived in documents, invoices in the accounts package and projects in a third tool. Every won job was typed in three times, by whoever remembered.

What I built

Quotes now start from the client's record. When one is accepted, an automation raises the invoice, opens the project and hands the team their kick-off tasks.
